Coaching Guidelines

  • Modern approach to tennis coaching with frequent instructions & precise playing demonstrations by the coach.

  • Ensuring clear coach demonstration, prior to each individual training drill/module.

  • After each training module, interact with clients, using ‘feedback’.

  • Break down coaching modules allowing for player’s abilities. (Complete Beginner, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Club Player)

  • Use any infrequent coach’s errors during coaching drills, for evaluation purposes and client’s ‘feedback’ for understanding. In the case of any ‘none client understanding’ the coach is to repeat any error made. After a full client’s understanding, the coach must demonstrate the ‘correct’ playing technique, before moving to any new training drill/module.

  • For intermediate/advanced players, video/pictures can be taken, for ‘Serve’ only, to show client techniques. (‘Ball toss up’/‘Racket path’) Short videos are taken, for ease of downloading.  Photographs will be graphically marked if necessary, to show any corrections. Videos and photographs are sent post lesson, either by ‘email’ or ‘What’s App’, directly to a client’s device.

  • Time manage each lesson drill/module, within a complete lesson time of 1hr. (always run over the lesson time by 5 minutes, allowing for a final client’s ‘feed back’)

If at any time, any client has not clearly understood any coaching instructions or is not achieving reasonable success within a given coaching drill, the coach must ‘repeat’, ensuring a clear client’s understanding and execution.
